Description
The Motorman (including Wiper and Oiler) supports the Engine Room watchkeepers and UMS duty engineers in the daily operation and maintenance of the ship’s technical plant. Reporting directly to the Second Engineer, this role involves assisting with the upkeep of all machinery and technical equipment under the supervision of an Engineer Officer. A significant portion of the role is dedicated to general cleaning and housekeeping within machinery spaces to ensure a safe and orderly working environment.
Key Responsibilities
As an Oiler, you will support the Engine Room watchkeepers and UMS duty engineers in the daily operation and maintenance of the ship’s technical plant, assist with the upkeep of all machinery and technical equipment, and perform general cleaning and housekeeping within machinery spaces to maintain a safe and orderly working environment.
