About the Role

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and experienced Support Worker to assist one of our clients, a highly intelligent gentleman with Cerebral Palsy, in living independently and confidently in his home. The role involves clinical care, personal support, companionship and community outings such as walks, coffee and swimming. You will also help him engage in his interests – current affairs, philosophy, and other passions – fostering independence and well‑being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including showering, drying and dressing
  • Assist with daily living activities and medication administration
  • Offer companionship, including community outings and social activities
  • Support positive behaviour management and anxiety reduction
  • Help the client pursue personal goals and participate in community life
  • Maintain accurate records and report on client progress

Qualifications and Experience

  • Self‑motivated, well organised and reliable with excellent teamwork skills
  • Experience with positive behaviour management and support for anxiety
  • Experience in personal care and medication administration
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness absences
  • Full clean driving licence (age 25+); ability to drive a wheelchair‑accessible vehicle
  • Eligibility to work in the UK; an enhanced DBS check required

Training and Development

All training is provided, including e‑learning, face‑to‑face, clinical and competency sessions. Additional pay is awarded for completed online training courses.
