Site: Trustwide, Town Ashton Under Lyne. Salary: £32,073 – £39,043 per annum pro rata, paid yearly. Closing date: 21/06/2026 23:59.
To provide a comprehensive and responsive multi‑skilled maintenance service across all the Trust’s properties, while specialising and leading the delivery of quality joinery services. Sites include in‑patient and non‑in‑patient environments.
Whilst the postholder shall be fully qualified in joinery services, they will also be competent in all elements of delivering a multi‑skilled service, including minor electrical and plumbing services, and will support the delivery of a quality estates function.
Main Duties of the Job
- Work using own initiative to complete projects as assigned.
- Work closely with the Estates Services Technician (Electrical) and Estates Services Technician (Plumbing) within the North/South to take ownership of the sites and provide a robust and quality in‑house specialist estates service.
- Respond to both reactive and planned works.
- Diagnose and carry out complex works and reduce the requirement for external contractors.
- Interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications to instruct and advise others.
- Liaise and provide technical advice to all estates operatives and contractors to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
- Lead and co‑ordinate small works on site as assigned.
- Co‑ordinate the works of multiple contractors on site in line with all health and safety requirements.
Person Specification – Skills
- Experience in joinery on site.
- Electrical / plumbing experience.
- Ability to work independently with a managed workload.
