Design Technology Teacher

Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated DT Teacher with a Graphics specialism to join our secondary school in Street, Somerset, on a permanent basis from September.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop practical design skills, creativity and confidence while supporting high standards of achievement within the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated design lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Support student learning and achievement, building confidence and creativity.
• Manage classroom effectively and contribute to a supportive school culture.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development.

Required Qualifications

• QTS with a DT or Graphics specialism (ECTs are welcome).
• Experience teaching DT across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong knowledge of Graphics and design processes.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
• A passion for creativity, innovation and student development.
