General Works Operator (Including Despatch Duties)

Location: Sheffield

Stafforce Recruitment is recruiting a hands‑on General Works Operator to support workshop, stock, and despatch operations within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a varied role ideal for someone practical, reliable, and safety-focused.

Pay & Benefits

• £12.71 – £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
• Weekly pay
• 39 hours per week (early finish Friday)
• • Monday-Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
  • Friday: 08:00 – 15:30
• 23 days holiday + bank holidays
• Pension scheme + health cash plan (after probation)

Key Duties

• Operate workshop machinery (cutting, drilling, bending, punching, tapping)
• Measure and process materials to required specifications
• Assist with fabrication, assembly, and laser processing support
• Handle goods‑in, stock movement, and material control
• Pack, label, and prepare orders for despatch
• Complete job and despatch documentation accurately

Candidate Requirements

• Previous manufacturing or workshop experience
• Good practical skills and attention to detail
• Reliable, organised, and safety-conscious
• FLT/crane experience desirable (not essential)
