Community Engagement Co-Ordinator (Older People)

Care Plus Group is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator – Older People to join our Health & Wellbeing Collaborative.

This role supports older people across North East Lincolnshire to stay connected, active and engaged within their local communities.

Main Duties of the Job

Job Title: Community Engagement Co-Ordinator – Older People

Department: Health and Wellbeing Collaborative

Hours: 28 hours per week, permanent

Salary Range: £26,416 – £28,182 pro rata per annum, fixed salary point

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and develop community based social and wellbeing groups for older people.
  • Work alongside and support volunteers, providing guidance, training and pastoral support.
  • Deliver training sessions and practical demonstrations to a range of audiences.
  • Build strong relationships with local stakeholders and partner agencies.
  • Promote the work of the Health & Wellbeing Collaborative across community settings.
  • Use Microsoft 365 for administration, reporting and marketing materials.
  • Encourage confidence in accessing information and services digitally; support basic digital skills.
  • Ensure activities and communications are accessible through face to face and digital approaches.
  • Be confident using IT; work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Be able to travel across North East Lincolnshire.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Business Administration qualification or equivalent.
  • Literacy and Numeracy level 2.
  • Level 3 Education & Training or willing to complete on appointment.
  • HNC in Business.

Experience

  • At least 1 year experience delivering training courses.
  • At least 6-12 months recent administrative experience at senior level.
  • Supervision of staff/volunteers.
  • Experience dealing with day-to-day staffing/volunteer issues.
  • Budget monitoring.
  • Dealing with complaints.
  • Preparing agendas, organising and attending meetings and taking complex minutes.
  • Complex diary management.
  • Working within a multi-functional office environment.
  • Accurate manipulation of complex data/data management.
  • Working within a care setting.
  • Cross agency working.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Effective organisational / time management skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and to deadlines.
  • Initiative and teamwork.
  • Competence in use of M365 applications and willingness to utilise digital tools.
  • Complex minute taking.
  • Supervision abilities for a team/volunteers.
  • Problem‑solving within remit of role.
  • Awareness of health and safety at work.
  • Conflict management and dealing with challenging situations.
