About the role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Technician & MOT Tester to join a busy workshop operation covering Kent and the surrounding areas. This role involves carrying out vehicle servicing, diagnostics and repairs on a range of vehicles to ensure they meet safety and roadworthiness standards. It would suit a qualified Service Technician & MOT Tester who is confident working independently, enjoys hands on technical work and is looking for consistent weekday hours with competitive hourly pay on monthly contracts.
Key responsibilities
- Identifying, diagnosing and resolving mechanical and system faults across a variety of vehicle
- Inspecting, maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure reliability and roadworthiness
- Completing job cards, maintenance records and associated paperwork accurately and clearly
- Conducting routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Supporting general workshop duties as required to assist the wider team
Skills and experience required
- Level 3 Qualification in Vehicle Maintenance service and Repair or equivalent
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Proven experience working as a Service Technician / MOT Tester in a workshop environment
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality and safety standards
