Press Brake Operator

Electronics Manufacturing | Long‑term Opportunity

We are currently recruiting Press Brake Operators to join a busy, modern manufacturing facility supplying components to the electronics industry. This is a long‑term opportunity offering consistent, repeat work, with the potential to progress from temporary to permanent employment.

Previous CNC Press Brake / CNC folding experience is preferred, but full training can be provided for candidates with the right attitude and coming from a Sheetmetal background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating CNC Press Brake machinery (training provided where required)
  • Working with sheet metal ranging from 0.7mm to 3mm thickness
  • Producing high‑quality, repeat parts with excellent accuracy
  • Interpreting basic engineering drawings
  • Working collaboratively as part of a production team

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Reliable, punctual, and keen to learn
  • Strong team player
  • Good attention to detail

Desirable

  • Previous CNC folding / CNC Press Brake experience
  • Fabrication or sheet‑metal background
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment

Working Environment

  • Modern facility with new machinery
  • Stable workload with a high volume of repeat work
  • Products manufactured exclusively for the electronics industry

Pay Rates & Working Hours

Pay Rates (PAYE)

  • £15.00 – £16.00 per hour
  • Plus holiday pay: £1.81 – £1.93 per hour
  • Holiday pay can be accrued or taken in advance
  • Rates negotiable depending on experience

Day Shift

  • Monday to Thursday
  • 07:00 – 17:30
  • 40 hours per week
  • 30‑minute unpaid lunch break

Night Shift

  • Monday to Thursday
  • 18:30 – 06:30
  • 40 hours per week
  • Paid at x1.33 hourly rate (night shift premium)

Overtime

  • Fridays available
  • First 8 hours paid at x1.5
  • Over 8 hours paid at x2
