TIG Welder

Overview

Our client, based in the South Manchester area near Stockport, is looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder to start straight away.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm. Pay is £15–16per hour PAYE. Initially the role will start through the agency, but if both you & the client are happy after a brief trial period the role will become permanent.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and parts according to specifications.
• Read and understand engineering drawings to carry out fabrication.
• Work with a variety of metals to produce high‑quality work.
• Work in a small team and manage own small welding jobs independently.

Requirements

• Skilled or qualified in welding (mainly TIG) and able to read drawings.
• Experience working with sheet metal beneficial.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to work independently while also being a cooperative team player.
