Home care assistant

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety. This position requires a proactive individual who can communicate effectively and is willing to drive to various locations as needed.

Duties

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients in daily living activities including meal preparation, medication management, and light housekeeping.
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Foster a positive and supportive environment by engaging clients in conversation and activities.
• Drive to clients’ homes or care facilities as required, ensuring punctuality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience in home care or care home settings is preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining care plans and documentation is advantageous.
• Ability to drive safely and possess a valid driving licence.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
