About the Role
Reporting to the Front Office Manager and Night Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the hotel overnight while delivering exceptional guest service at all times.
You will be responsible for the safety, security and comfort of our guests during the night, while supporting front office operations and maintaining the high standards expected within a luxury hotel environment.
This is a full-time position working nights 10:45pm-07:15am, 40 hours per week, the cycle is generally 7 nights out of 10 on a shift rota basis. Due to our location, own transport is essential as public transport is not available and is commutable from Chippenham, Swindon and Bath.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming late arrivals and assisting guests throughout the night
- Supporting guest check-ins and check-outs
- Assisting with luggage, room service and guest requests
- Monitoring hotel security and conducting regular patrols
- Ensuring public areas remain clean, tidy and well presented
- Handling late bar service where required
- Reporting maintenance issues and ensuring overnight standards are maintained
- Responding calmly and professionally to guest queries or emergencies
The ideal candidate will have
- A positive, professional and customer-focused approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Reliability and the ability to work independently overnight
- Previous hotel or customer service experience is preferred but not essential
- A calm and organised approach under pressure
- Full flexibility to work overnight shifts
