Head of Solution & Design

Lead the Solution & Design community within the NTT DATA Salesforce Practice across UK & Ireland. This senior leadership role oversees a high‑performing, multidisciplinary team of Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, and Functional Consultants.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the strategic direction, quality, and consistency of solution architecture and design across the Salesforce practice.
  • Architecture Vision & Strategy
    • Define and evolve the Salesforce architecture vision, standards, and best practices across UK & Ireland.
    • Ensure alignment with global NTT DATA capabilities and industry trends.
    • Drive innovation and adoption of emerging Salesforce and adjacent technologies.
  • Design Authority & Governance
    • Establish and lead design governance, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
    • Act as the escalation point for complex architectural decisions.
    • Maintain consistency and quality across all solution designs.
  • Presales & Growth Enablement
    • Lead solutioning for strategic bids and presales activities.
    • Partner with Sales and Industry teams to shape compelling, value‑led client propositions.
    • Provide oversight on solution estimation, commercials, and delivery feasibility.
  • Cross‑Cloud Integration & Alignment
    • Ensure cohesive architecture across Salesforce clouds and enterprise platforms.
    • Promote integration patterns, data strategy, and interoperability across ecosystems.
    • Align solutions with client enterprise architecture and business strategy.
  • Thought Leadership & Engineering Excellence
    • Act as a visible thought leader internally and externally.
    • Champion engineering quality, reusable assets, and innovation.
    • Contribute to market positioning through whitepapers, events, and client engagement.
  • People Leadership & Capability Development
    • Build, lead, and grow a high‑performing Solution & Design team.
    • Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and structured career pathways.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Training, People Growth & Culture
    • Drive capability uplift across architecture and functional roles.
    • Embed a strong culture of knowledge sharing, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
    • Support diversity and inclusion initiatives within the practice.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in a senior architecture leadership role within a Salesforce or enterprise consulting environment.
  • Deep expertise across Salesforce platform and multi‑cloud architectures (e.g., Sales, Service, Experience, Data, Integration).
  • Strong track record in defining architecture strategy and leading large‑scale transformation programmes.
  • Experience leading presales, solution shaping, and complex bid responses.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high‑performing architecture and consulting teams.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, data architecture, and cloud ecosystems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at C‑suite level.
  • Passion for innovation, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and thought leadership presence in client and internal forums.
