The Role
As an Instructor in our Income Generation Programme, you will lead children’s groups at Sayers Croft. You will liaise with group leaders, design course content, and deliver engaging, safe, hands‑on projects, ensuring all health and safety information and risk assessments are current.
Responsibilities include:
- Liaising with group leaders to plan programme content.
- Communicating health and safety information and carrying out risk assessments.
- Delivering creative, hands‑on projects that meet the needs of children.
- Managing week and weekend work and negotiating days off and enhanced weekend fees.
Qualifications
Expected to have at least one year experience at an outdoor centre and qualifications or equivalent training in at least two of the following:
- Archery GB instructor award
- RCI or CWI (climbing)
- High Ropes / ERCA
- STA pool responder / Lifesaving
- BELA/Lowland Leader
Other skills:
- Excellent communication, enthusiastic, motivating and inspiring children.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather, including climbing and heavy lifts.
- Passion for connecting children with nature and expanding their interests.
