Why not join our established but expanding Medicines Team at the North West Ambulance Service in this role leading on medicines related projects across our trust and supporting the governance of the medicines management in our Medicines Supply Hub.
Responsibilities
- Ensure there is the best medicines service and lead on medicines related projects across the trust.
- Support the governance of medicines management at the Medicines Supply Hub.
- Train and educate staff within the team and operational ambulance teams, including undergraduates embarking on their paramedic careers.
- Devising and conducting audits to provide assurance that we are doing it right and to demonstrate compliance with regulations and processes.
- Lead project management activities: develop project plans, engage with stakeholders and deliver projects to a high standard.
Qualifications
- Understanding of relevant medicines legislation and regulations and ability to apply them and assess compliance.
- Experience in project management: developing plans, engaging stakeholders, and leading projects to high standards.
- Ability to analyse complex data and summarise it into high level reports for multiple audiences.
- Exceptional organisational, written and verbal communication skills, an inspirational can do leadership attitude, and strong educator/trainer skills.
- Confidence in driving long distances and working autonomously due to the geographical nature of NWAS.
Additional Information
This is a permanent role based at the NWAS Medicine Supply Hub site in Preston, requiring presence at least two days and occasional Saturdays (approximately four per year). You will work alongside other pharmacy technicians, pharmacists and medicines assistants within the Medicines Team. The role is not patient-facing but involves diverse multidisciplinary collaboration.
