As a Bank Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose, repairing any faults to maintain a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors while carrying out planned maintenance. You will work alongside an established team, tackling all maintenance-related tasks and liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service.

There is no minimum number of hours you need to work, although it is recommended that you work as often as possible to retain your induction knowledge and familiarity with the service.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose.
- Utilising good DIY skills to ensure the safety of service users is maintained.
- Undertaking planned preventive maintenance.
- Assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
- Assisting in decorating tasks.
- Liaising with the manager and reporting all faults and defects.
- Participating in a one‑week retaining on‑call rota for emergency maintenance.
- Coordinating and supporting contractors on site, completing all paperwork and tool checks.
Qualifications
- Comply with systems and procedures.
- Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
- Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure they enjoy the highest quality of service.
- Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

The Avalon Centre, Edison Park Hindle Way, Swindon, Wiltshire, SN3 3RT – a purpose‑built neurological centre for adults with acquired brain injury.
