Paint Preparation OperativeLocation: Rural MaidstoneHours: Monday to Friday – 39 hours/week + regular overtimeSalary: £26,492.28-£30,105.72 plus overtime

A leading Manufacturer are looking for a hardworking and reliable individual to join a busy paint preparation team. The role involves preparing components for wet painting through a variety of processes to ensure high-quality finishes.

Main Duties

• Prepare parts for wet painting, including drilling, filling, sanding, shot blasting, sealing, cleaning, degreasing, and masking.
• Use power tools such as grinders, drills, and sanders.
• Mask threads and bores to protect from damage and paint ingress.
• Handle and move components through blasting and washing equipment.
• Hang, unload, and pack painted components safely and efficiently.
• Carry out daily cleaning, maintenance, and housekeeping duties.
• Follow all Health & Safety and environmental procedures, including correct use of PPE and waste disposal.

• Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Reliable and organised with good time management.
• Physically fit – able to stand for long periods, climb steps, and handle components safely.
