Maintenance Surveyor

Contract and Working Hours

6 month Fixed Term Contract, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm plus on call as required.

Location

Hybrid, Camberley & surrounding areas with occasional travel to Ashford, Kent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver repairs and voids maintenance services for properties in your allocated patch, collaborating with teams and contractors.
• Conduct site visits to customer homes to assess repair needs and use knowledge of domestic buildings, HHSRS, and schedule of rates to qualify repairs.
• Raise repairs on the bespoke Housing Management System and update customer accounts through completion.
• Maintain Empty Homes (Voids) standard to deliver first‑class quality homes on time.
• Identify and address hazards such as damp and mould promptly and effectively in line with Awaab’s Law.
• Improve service efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and contribute to the mission of providing quality homes.

Qualifications

• HNC in Building or equivalent qualification, or relevant experience in maintenance and construction.
• Understanding of building design, fabric and lifecycle, contract performance and budget management.
• Strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, ability to interpret building legislation.
• Proficiency in operational software for property management.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Will undergo DBS and social media check.

Salary and Benefits

The spot salary for the Maintenance Surveyor post is £42,009 per annum, pro rata for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. Applicants who do not meet all the requirements will start 5% or 10% below the spot salary.

Additional remuneration: 8% regional uplift (£3,361 per annum, pro rata) and an essential user car allowance (£1,250 per annum, pro rata).
