Housing Litigation Lawyer

Sellick Partnership are working with a London-based local authority seeking a Senior Housing Lawyer on an interim basis.

About the role

The role will be offered on an initial 3-month contract, with potential for extension and can accommodate a hybrid working arrangement.

Experience

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of local authority statutory duties and substantial, recent experience in the following:

  • Disrepair claims
  • Homelessness judicial review proceedings
  • Possession proceedings
  • Injunction applications to secure compliance
  • Advocacy covering interlocutory hearings

About you

You will be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with thorough knowledge of civil litigation and housing law, ideally gained from working in local government. Candidates with extensive knowledge from the private sector or other public sector organisations may also be considered.
