Till Volunteer (we need a local volunteer SW18. London)

As a till volunteer, you’ll be the friendly face of our shop, handling customer transactions with a smile. You’ll provide top customer service and help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps our customers coming back!
Why we want you
We’re seeking friendly, reliable individuals aged 18 or over who want to make a difference in their community. No prior experience is needed, as we provide full training. If you’re open to learning, enjoy working with others, and have a passion for helping people, you’ll fit right in!
You have the time to become a volunteer in your community; you might be looking for work experience, the opportunity to meet new people, or keep active.
By volunteering with us in one of our amazing retail spaces you will be raising essential funds for Oxfam – all whilst learning new skills and meeting some incredible people.
What you will be doing
- Chat with customers, giving great service on the till.
- Select, sort and price donated stock.
- Visual merchandising: create eye‑catching window and in‑store displays.
- Accept donations from the public, speak with donors and ask a few questions.
- Label donations according to clear instructions to maximise income.
- Occasionally lift boxes – we prioritise a safe working environment and provide comprehensive health and safety training.
The skills you need
- Reliable and punctual for your volunteering.
- No prior experience required – full training and support is given.
- Enjoy being part of a team and collaborating effectively with others.
- Speak comfortably with people and follow instructions to complete tasks.
