What is the job role?

Domestic Assistant based at Plas Dol-y-Moch, Coventry’s Outdoor Education Centre in North Wales.

Job Role:

  • Maintain a clean, sanitised, tidy, and safe environment for children.
  • Support the kitchen team with general kitchen and dining room duties.
  • Perform deep cleaning of communal areas, bedrooms, showers, and toilets on changeover days.

You will be expected to assist in the preparation, delivery, and clearing up of both breakfasts and evening meals. Additionally, you will assist in cleaning the Centre in preparation for forthcoming courses.

Most of our customers are school children between the ages of 10 and 18 years old, and the Centre can accommodate up to 78 students and 9 members of visiting staff.

Note: Most hours are worked during school term time.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a reliable, hard‑working and friendly individual to join our team. You should be approachable, patient, and understand the importance of creating a welcoming and safe environment.

No formal qualifications are required, but experience in catering, housekeeping, or working in a busy residential setting would be an advantage. Most importantly, you will bring a positive attitude, good attention to detail, and a flexible approach to work.
