We are currently recruiting for a Spa Therapist on a casual basis at Norton House Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels.
Sweeping past the original stone gatehouse and journeying along the tree‑lined drive of Norton House Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh, this prestigious Georgian country house leaves an indelible first impression. Like fine malt whisky, it has improved with age. Now a mecca for stylish dining, 21st‑century comforts and cutting‑edge technology blend with historic features to create a sense of the old and new working in unison. This 1840 country house hotel is an idyllic Scottish wedding venue and one of the best meeting venues in Edinburgh, thanks to its location, just 5 minutes from Edinburgh Airport and 20 minutes from the city centre.
Responsibilities
- Help support the success of your team, feeling engaged and ready to consistently deliver exceptional service, putting the guest at the heart of all activities.
- Deliver outstanding Spa treatments and develop your knowledge to ensure you feel confident in delivering positive recommendations for our guests.
- Make mindfulness and well‑being your top priority, being passionate about maintaining high standards and delivering memorable guest experiences to ensure all clients leave feeling on top of the world and with a clear mind.

About You
- Previous experience as a Spa Therapist, working in a luxury 4/5 star Hotel Spa environment is desirable.
- Current UK Spa Qualifications, NVQ Level 3, and ability to demonstrate these skills; able to carry out all treatments including facials, massage, nail and feet treatments including gel nail application.
- Driven to deliver outstanding and memorable customer service.
- Excellent at building rapport with guests, making them feel at home, relaxed, and identifying and creating magical memories at every possible opportunity.
- Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence, enabling you to anticipate guests’ needs and ensure they receive a Hand Picked experience.
- Professional, organised and friendly approach, able to anticipate guests’ needs and create memories.
