Role: 1;1 SEN Learning Support Assistant

Start Date: 1 September 2026

Contract: Fixed term to 20 July 2029

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 Inset Days)

Hours: 25 hours per week

Salary: Scale 3 Points 6-7 £25989-£26403 pa pro rata (Actual Salary: £15054 – £15294 pa)

Closing Date: 1st June at 12pm Midday

We are looking to appoint a 1;1 SEN Learning Support Assistant for 25 hours per week (5 hours a day). The successful candidate will be committed to supporting all pupils, including those with additional needs. They will work within a supportive and welcoming team, be enthusiastic, positive and able to work on their own initiative as well as follow direction.

Responsibilities

  • Support all pupils, including those with additional needs.
  • Work within a supportive team environment.
  • Follow direction while also working independently where required.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Experience of working with or caring for young children.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand children and support children with additional needs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
