Role Purpose
The Product Manager will work closely with the Managing Director to shape and structure the firm’s end-to-end product vision, governance framework, and delivery discipline.
This role is responsible for ensuring that the firm’s product offering is:
- Commercially viable
- Customer-centric
- Regulator-ready
- Technically scalable
- Built with long‑term architectural discipline
You will bring structure, commercial clarity, and disciplined product thinking to the organisation, helping establish the product foundations required to support sustainable growth across international markets.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Support the development of a structured and commercially focused product function.
- Work closely with the Managing Director to refine and execute the product vision.
- Translate strategic objectives into a clear and prioritised 6–12 month product roadmap.
- Help define key customer segments and personas.
- Align product initiatives with measurable KPIs and commercial outcomes.
Product Definition & Delivery
Until a broader product team is established, the Product Manager will:
- Own and maintain the product backlog.
- Define epics, features, and user stories.
- Produce clear and structured Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).
- Work closely with Technology teams to prioritise development and sequence delivery.
- Define measurable acceptance criteria aligned with business objectives.
- Support milestone planning and delivery tracking.
In the absence of dedicated Product Owners, the Product Manager will also act as:
- The primary product point of contact for engineering teams
- The translator between business requirements and technical implementation
- The escalation point for product-related decisions
Product Governance & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Contribute to establishing a structured product governance framework.
- Help refine and formalise the product release and approval process.
- Support the implementation of a transparent prioritisation model.
- Ensure product decisions consider Risk, Compliance, and Operational requirements within an FCA‑regulated environment.
- Build strong cross‑functional engagement to minimise late‑stage rework and misalignment.
Data, Customer Insight & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track key product performance metrics.
- Establish trading behaviour analytics and feedback loops.
- Monitor churn, drop‑off, and engagement patterns.
- Use data insights to refine roadmap priorities and improve commercial outcomes.
- Support UX research and customer insight initiatives to validate product hypotheses and improve customer journeys.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in product management within financial services, preferably in brokerage or trading platforms.
- Strong understanding of product governance, structured product delivery, and backlog management.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments involving Technology, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Marketing.
- Deep understanding of CFD brokerage and international equity and ETF markets.
- Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into clear product roadmaps and delivery plans.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Desirable
- Experience working within FCA‑regulated financial services organisations.
- Exposure to global brokerage operations and multi-market trading products.
- Experience introducing product frameworks or governance structures within growing organisations.
- Familiarity with agile product delivery practices and product analytics tools.
