You will join a team that is committed to making a difference to the lives of those we provide care for. Responsibilities

  • liaise with the Home Manager, Nutritional Therapist and staff to ensure high-quality fresh, home-cooked food is provided every day.
  • Establish a rapport with residents and their families to satisfy dietary needs.
  • Prepare, cook and serve meals for residents and others in a timely manner.
  • Provide a varied diet, catering for cultural preferences of those who use our services.
  • Cater for celebrations and other events in the Home.
  • Order supplies within the catering budget and company policy guidelines, using approved suppliers in the absence of the senior cook.
  • Maintain accurate catering records in accordance with HACCP.
  • Participate in inspections by Environmental Health and/or care regulators and Local Authorities.
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene within the kitchen by adhering to HACCP and COSHH guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment by ensuring adherence to Health & Safety and Welfare.
  • Ability to manage the Catering Team.

Salary: £18.00 per hour

Working Hours: 21 hours per week. 07:30-16:00 (including alternative weekends)
