Job Overview

We are seeking a positive and flexible Food Technician to support our Food Studies curriculum across Key Stages 3–5. The role involves preparing materials and equipment for practical lessons, maintaining a safe and organised learning environment, supporting students during cooking activities and contributing to the smooth running of the department.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons.
• Maintain a safe and organised learning environment.
• Support students during cooking activities.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the department.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, food preparation or education support.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to build positive relationships with young people.
• Experience working with students with SEND is advantageous, though training and support will be provided.

About the School

Garratt Park School is a special school for children and young people aged 11-19 who have moderate learning difficulties, along with other special needs disabilities including Autism, SCLN, sensory impairments and a small number with more complex needs.
