Job Overview

Role: Product Manager

Working hours: Core hours 09:30 – 16:00; flexible around this schedule. We operate a hybrid schedule, 2‑3 days a week in the Leeds office.

Reporting to: Senior Product Manager. This role may involve participation in an out‑of‑hours rota as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the product workstream for mergers and acquisitions activity.
  • Assess external products, determine how they can integrate into and strengthen our existing product estate.
  • Work closely with the M&A team and potential acquisition targets, evaluating product fit, opportunities and risks.
  • Ensure new solutions align with our strategic direction.
  • Define problems, validate opportunities and ground product decisions in research, data and real‑world insight.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, clinical and operational teams to define solutions and ensure successful implementation.
  • Support the Senior Product Manager in developing broader product strategy and business case work.

Product Ownership & Roadmap Execution

  • Own specific themes or initiatives within the product roadmap, aligned to the wider product strategy.
  • Define and monitor success metrics for your areas of ownership, ensuring measurable outcomes.
  • Identify and articulate patient, clinical and business problems through research and insight.
  • Shape backlog priorities in collaboration with stakeholders, focusing on value.
  • Support the Senior Product Manager in developing broader product strategy and business case work.

Product Discovery & Definition

  • Lead discovery activities to validate assumptions, define scope and explore new opportunities.
  • Conduct desk research, stakeholder interviews, competitive reviews and other analysis to inform product decisions.
  • Collaborate with UX and data teams to test hypotheses and improve user journeys.
  • Translate insights into clear product requirements and experience design recommendations.

Product Development & IT Collaboration

  • Work closely with IT and Delivery teams to refine and prioritise product backlog items.
  • Act in a Product Owner capacity where appropriate, including writing user stories, epics and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning and refinement sessions.
  • Ensure development output aligns to product goals and success metrics.
  • Partner with QA, engineering and business analysts to clarify scope, resolve blockers and support releases.
  • Respond to change and feedback during delivery, iterating on scope where needed.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage stakeholders from Clinical, Ops, UX, Data, Compliance, Marketing and Pharmacy Office to gather insight and manage expectations.
  • Communicate product decisions, rationale, progress and outcomes to internal and external audiences.
  • Ensure all developments comply with relevant standards, clinical safety, quality and regulatory frameworks (e.g. GDPR).

Key Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle, from discovery through to launch and iteration.
  • Experience with patient management systems.
  • Able to assess another company’s proposition, identify opportunities and understand product development needs.
  • Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with developers and stakeholders.
  • Experience working in cross‑functional teams (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).
  • Evidence of delivering product changes that improved outcomes or performance.
  • Confident working with stakeholders across business functions to shape requirements and prioritise work.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of balancing user, business and technical needs.
  • Comfortable using data and insight to make informed product decisions.
  • Experience in healthtech, med‑tech, online pharmacy or other regulated environments.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, Miro, GA4 or similar.
