Role: Senior Asset Manager

Location: Scottish Borders / Hybrid Working

Salary: Competitive salary + 15% Bonus + Family Healthcare

Our client is a major player within the renewable energy sector and is seeking an experienced Senior Asset Manager to take responsibility for the commercial, financial and strategic management of a large-scale operational wind energy asset.

This is a key leadership position, reporting directly to the General Manager and acting as the primary interface between shareholders, investors, service providers and operational teams. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maximising long-term asset value, financial performance and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial and strategic management of a large operational wind energy asset.
  • Drive asset performance, value creation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage annual budgets, forecasts and financial reporting requirements.
  • Oversee contractual compliance across a range of commercial agreements.
  • Monitor and manage commercial risks, opportunities and asset optimisation strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, regulators, suppliers, landowners and other key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate performance reporting and presentations for senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure safe, efficient and commercially effective asset performance.
  • Support long-term planning and investment decisions to maximise asset value throughout its lifecycle.
  • Ensure governance, compliance and reporting obligations are delivered to the highest standards.

Candidate Requirements

  • Significant experience within the wind energy sector, either onshore or offshore.
  • Proven Asset Management experience within renewable energy, power generation or infrastructure assets.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with budget ownership experience.
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships, including investors and senior leadership teams.
  • Contract management and commercial agreement experience.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and asset optimisation principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at executive level.
  • Degree qualified in Engineering, Business, Finance or a related discipline preferred.
