Job Title: Pastoral Support | Location: Dorking, Surrey | Employment Type: Full Time (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | Salary: Paid to Scale

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Support professional to join our team in Dorking, Surrey. In this pivotal role, you will provide essential guidance and support to students, fostering their emotional well‑being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer a safe and nurturing environment for students to express their concerns and feelings.
  • Provide one‑on‑one and group support sessions addressing various emotional and behavioural issues.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to implement effective support strategies.
  • Monitor student progress and well‑being, maintaining accurate records and reporting as necessary.
  • Organise and facilitate workshops, activities and interventions to enhance resilience and personal development.
  • Uphold the school’s values and promote a positive culture within the educational environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in pastoral care, counselling or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to student support.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented setting.

This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise.

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
