Role Title: Technician – Engineering

Location: Bersham Road

Contract Type: Permanent, Full time

Salary: £26,582 – £27,120 (salary will be based on a salary assessment and experience)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technician to join our Engineering team to support the delivery of a range of courses at our Bersham Road campus to support our growth in this area. We are looking for candidates with a breadth of hands‑on experience within Engineering, who can carry out day‑to‑day checks of facilities and resources and ensure regular ‘housekeeping’ of workshops and studios to ensure a safe, orderly working environment for staff and students. They will participate in the relevant training activities and provide technical support where required. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, resilient, and highly motivated, with a passion for education and keen to make a difference to our learners’ experience.

Essential Requirements

  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in a professionally relevant subject
  • Good standard of education at GCSE level (or equivalent)
  • A demonstrable breadth of experience within the Engineering industry
  • Extensive experience of maintaining large workshop equipment including regular maintenance
  • Previous experience of working with learners or apprentices is highly desirable
