SEN Teaching Assistant | Lewisham | September 2026

Are you an SEN Teaching Assistant looking to support pupils with additional needs within a nurturing and well-supported primary school environment? This opportunity in Lewisham from September 2026 would suit a graduate or experienced SEN Teaching Assistant passionate about inclusion and child development.

This role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, speech and language difficulties, ADHD and social, emotional and mental health needs. Staff work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to ensure pupils receive consistent and personalised support throughout the school day.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will provide one-to-one and small-group support within the classroom, helping pupils access learning, build confidence and regulate emotions. This role would suit aspiring SEN Teachers, Educational Psychologists or Speech & Language Therapists.

Pay Weekly Pay | £475–£510 per week

Qualifications & Responsibilities

  • Hold strong A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications) and a BA degree
  • Be patient, proactive and confident supporting children with SEN
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families and staff
  • Support pupils both academically and emotionally
  • Be passionate about inclusive education and child development
