As a Student Experience Team Member, you will play a key part in delivering a warm, safe, and inclusive environment where students feel supported and valued. You’ll work closely with the Student Experience Team Leader, peers, housekeeping, facilities, and Resident Ambassadors to create positive everyday experiences through welcoming students at reception, resolving issues quickly, leading flat viewings and helping organise vibrant community events.

Your Impact

Every day you’ll make a real impact, connecting with students, driving bookings, and helping build a place they’re proud to call home.

Responsibilities

  • Providing a friendly front‑of‑house reception and building strong rapport with students.
  • Responding quickly to student feedback and guiding them to the right support when needed.
  • Supporting sales efforts through viewings, answering enquiries and attending university and housing events.
  • Helping to deliver community‑building events with Resident Ambassadors.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and well‑kept environment that students can be proud to call home.
  • Working closely with day and night teams to ensure seamless service and handovers.
  • Supporting wellbeing or welfare matters, noticing when something isn’t right and taking action to help.
  • Being a brand ambassador, living our CARE principles: Connect, Act, Respect, and Encourage.

Your Background

We’re looking for curiosity, openness to learning, and the drive to make a difference. Whether you’re solving problems, leading change, or supporting our students day‑to‑day, it’s your mindset that matters.

To Be Successful In This Role

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, ideally with a background in hospitality or retail, to create positive and welcoming experiences for students.
  • Be warm, caring and approachable, confident in communicating and answering student inquiries efficiently.
  • Possess strong time‑management and organisational skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Take pride in doing what’s right and supporting others.
  • Preferably have experience in a customer‑service role or residential environment – though this is not essential.
  • Take ownership of problems and act quickly to resolve issues, ensuring student satisfaction and safety.

Benefits

  • A performance‑related bonus paid twice a year.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy up to 5 extra days and earn up to 5 additional days for long service.
  • A generous pension scheme with contributions between 4% and 11% depending on savings.
  • Life assurance worth 4 times your salary.
  • Share‑save scheme to purchase Unite Students shares at a discounted rate.
  • Enhanced Family Leave – including 18 weeks full pay for birthing parents and 4 weeks for non‑birthing parents.
  • Medicash (Health Cash Plan) – access to claim back the cost of routine medical care.
  • An Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) for support when needed.
  • Free volunteering day per year.
  • Access to an online platform that provides a range of retail and hospitality services at a discounted premium.

Additionally, you’ll have access to 20% student rent at any of our direct let properties for your children, siblings, their children, or any student dependant on you.
