Job Summary
HSE Advisor – Process Safety – Submarines, Full‑Time, Derby (5 days onsite)
Responsible for coordinating and implementing process safety arrangements to manage RRSL’s high consequence hazards and ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met. Provide HSE assurance, support improvement initiatives, and advise the business on process safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Advises business on process safety and provides arrangements to manage high consequence complex hazards.
- Facilitates improvement programmes and ensures Process Safety compliance.
- Supports management of COMAH risks and compliance with COMAH regulations.
- Maintains up‑to‑date risk profiles and recommends risk‑based improvement programmes.
- Identifies, manages, and assures HS&E critical controls through maintenance programmes.
- Leads HS&E journey to zero harm and drives process safety improvements.
- Co‑ordinates risk‑based assurance and compliance with legal and other requirements.
- Supports delivery of HS&E governance, including the HS&E Accountability Framework.
Qualifications and Experience
- HSE related professional certificates; Chartered or working towards chartered membership of IOSH / IEMA.
- Experience providing HSE advice and risk‑based solutions.
- Experience applying COMAH regulations.
- Experience applying process safety to manage complex HSE risks.
Security Clearance: Must hold a Security Check clearance. We support application for clearance if not already held. Candidates must be UK nationals or dual nationals in MoD approved cases.
Location: Derby. Full time, 5 days onsite.
