Location: BAE Systems, Broad Oak Airport Service Road, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England, PO3 5PQ
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Grounds and Site Maintenance Operative to join our team at BAE Systems Broad Oak. You will be responsible for keeping the site grounds maintained, supporting staff on site, and ensuring everything runs smoothly day to day.
Responsibilities
- Grounds care including mowing, strimming, sweeping, weeding and hedge cutting
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly
- Assisting with deliveries and occasional movement of furniture or equipment
- Working as part of a small, supportive team alongside the Site Manager
- Following all Health and Safety standards at all times
What We Are Looking For
- Someone who is comfortable with outdoor and manual work
- A positive, practical attitude and good team skills
- Willingness to learn and complete training as required
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
Essential Skills & Experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and use initiative when required
Desirable
- Previous grounds maintenance, caretaking or facilities experience
- Experience using grounds maintenance equipment and machinery
- Waste management or recycling knowledge
- Basic maintenance or handyman skills
