With a starting salary of £55,166.49 per annum, Baxter Thetford is looking for experienced Multi‑skilled Mechanical Bias Maintenance Engineers to join our fast‑paced Operational Maintenance Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide plant‑wide reactive and proactive maintenance support for production equipment.
- Raise corrective and reactive maintenance dockets on Maximo.
- Assist and support queries to identify improvements to the stores system.
- Review planned and preventative maintenance procedures and suggest improvements.
- Escalate issues when necessary, in a timely manner.
- Identify areas for improvement across the site.
- Deliver all activities at the standards required by GMP.
- Work rotating shifts Monday – Sunday, 06:00‑18:00/18:00‑06:00 and qualify for overtime at premium rates.
Experience and Education
- HNC or equivalent in Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering.
- High level mechanical knowledge and overall engineering understanding in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- High degree of competency in welding, machine lathe and milling.
- Strong working knowledge of gearboxes, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Electrical knowledge of control panels, automation and robotics.
- Good level knowledge of electrical safety, CCT and controllers.
- Ability to work as part of a wider team and independently.
