Senior Solutions Architect – Central Government

Role: Senior Solutions Architect REF 1737389

Contract Length: 2–3 years, subject to programme needs

Location: Hybrid/London – 50% in office

IR35: Inside

Pay Rate to Intermediary: £749 per day

Security Clearance: BPSS

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT

Focused on passenger facing systems and physical devices used in transport ticketing.

Responsibilities include designing and understanding solutions incorporating:

• Gates
• Ticket vending machines (TVMs)
• Retailing devices
• Validation equipment (e.g., smart card and magnetic ticket readers)

Requires a blend of hardware design, packaging design, and software architecture, typically found in transport ticketing providers such as Cubic, Scheidt & Bachmann, or INIT.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE SENIOR SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT

• Ability to design complex technical solutions involving hardware & software
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture concepts
• Ticketing industry background (highly preferred)
• Experience with gates, TVMs, validators, smartcard systems
• Understanding of magnetic ticket processing
• Knowledge of validation device architectures
