Job Title
Grinder Manual and CNC Setter/Operator MK1 – CNC Grinding Experience with RSS Okuma Experience preferred or any external grinding experience.
Competitive Hourly Rate
£16.80 to £17.31 per hour including 17.5% shift allowance (dependent upon skill).
Shift
AM shift pattern – Monday to Thursday 6 am to 2.30 pm – Friday 6 am to 11.30 am.
Prime Location
Leicester, Meridian Business Park, LE19 1WH.

Essential Functions
The key activities outlined below represent an overview only of the position of Grinding Setter/Operator based on site at the Leicester Plant and should not be seen as a prescriptive list of activities. A flexible and responsive approach to this role is vital, together with the initiative in identifying and focusing on the needs of the business and its customers.
Specific Responsibilities
- Set, fault find & operate machines to produce fasteners to strict tolerances.
- Use gauges, micrometers, shadow graphs to ensure parts conform to the drawing.
- Self‑certify personal work.
- Prove out programmes so they are in line with correct timings in accordance with our manufacturing and quality standards.
- Keep all computer files and manual paperwork accurate and up to date at all times.
- Produce SPC charts and records.
- Maintain housekeeping to the highest standards.
- Adhere to all quality procedures, taking an active part in root cause analysis.

- Train on all machines to ensure 100% flexibility in the workplace; once fully trained, train others.
- Actively take part in locally focused or multi‑functional continuous‑improvement teams.

Qualifications
- Experience in the operation of RSS and Okuma, or any external grinding experience.
- Experience working within a busy manufacturing environment.
- Experience setting grinding machines.
- Aerospace experience would be advantageous.
