About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-set work across a range of subjects, ensuring lessons run smoothly in the teacher’s absence. You will manage classroom behaviour, keep students on task and provide support where needed to maintain a productive learning atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons to whole classes across different subjects
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Ensure students remain focused and complete the work set
- Provide guidance and support to students during lessons
- Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
- Uphold a safe, structured and positive classroom environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Confidence in leading a classroom independently
- A calm, adaptable and proactive approach
- A genuine interest in education and supporting student development
