Job Description:

Working within the Industrials, Services and Sustainability team, you will have the opportunity to provide financial advisory services on a wide range of strategic transactions (including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers and re-structuring), capital-raising projects and debt financing mandates to the relevant institutions.

Working directly for a Managing Director on a project by project basis to support in the origination and execution of corporate advisory transactions. This role will also provide support and guidance to Interns, Analysts and Associates.

The Role

  • Day to day management of project execution, with guidance from the Managing Director as appropriate.
  • Proactive management of day-to-day client relationships and key client contact on all execution matters. Management of client meetings.
  • Define complex modelling tasks clearly and accurately and take responsibility for output.
  • Prioritise, delegate and supervise the completion of tasks ensuring compliance with relevant rules, policies, law and regulation.
  • Management of Analysts and Associates within deal team. Assisting in Identifying skills gaps within team and work constructively to develop these in cooperation with HR.
  • Provide thoughtful leadership to streamline processes and improve efficiency and effectiveness. Providing ongoing guidance and spot corrections to improve team efficiency.
  • Contribution of ideas for winning new clients or mandates.
  • Development of internal and external networks.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • At least 6 years’ experience in M&A from a reputable Investment Bank/Boutique ideally within the Industrials, Business Services or Sustainability sector.
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent with a minimum 2:1 grade.
  • Completion of CISI Level 3 Certification in Corporate Finance or a qualification as a Chartered Accountant would be advantageous.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organised and reliable, self-starter, motivated and ambitious.
  • Team player capable of fitting in with the collegiate culture.
  • Valuation and financial modelling experience.
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
