Managing Consultant / Senior Manager – Data & AI Architecture

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the architecture and development of scalable, secure, and cost‑efficient data, analytics, and AI platforms powered by AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Implement modern hybrid data architectures (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and drive migration of legacy systems to cloud‑native solutions.
• Create Proof of Concepts and Minimum Viable Products for advanced analytics and AI platforms, aligning with enterprise objectives and delivering measurable business value.
• Build and streamline data pipelines, infrastructure provisioning and deployments using DevOps practices, CI/CD and Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Shape enterprise data strategy, develop architecture blueprints, roadmaps and communication plans that engage stakeholders and drive adoption.
• Champion user‑centric design and storytelling, applying industry frameworks (TOGAF, DAMA) and best practices to ensure consistency, compliance and scalability.
• Leverage AI to accelerate delivery, experiment with new technologies and automate tasks to enhance innovation.
• Contribute to business development through proposals, RFPs, bids, client pitches and events.
• Engage in internal contribution activities including campaign development, whitepapers and practice development.
• Participate in learning and development opportunities, including training and certifications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data technologies and architecture with a strong consulting background.
• 6+ years designing, implementing and managing cloud‑based architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data solutions (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Synapse).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, Google Deployment Manager) and DevOps practices.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and modern architecture patterns such as Data Mesh and Data Fabric.
• Experience migrating legacy systems to cloud‑native data stores.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills and the ability to structure complex challenges with actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Growth mindset, curiosity and a passion for learning and experimenting with new technologies.
• SC Cleared / Eligible.

• Domain expertise in UK Public Sector, BFSI, CPRD, Telecoms or Transport is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of cloud cost‑management tools and best practices to optimise spend.
• Proven track record of applying Agile methodologies and leading cross‑functional teams to deliver complex data and AI solutions.
