We are looking for a Clinical Leader for our hospital to help us build a healthier nation. You are registered with the appropriate governing body and have the relevant qualifications and post‑registration experience in surgery/anaesthetics, including as a Registered Nurse or HCPC‑registered Operating Department Practitioner. With strong clinical leadership, you will guide your team toward a shared vision that promotes innovation and sustainability. As a clinical leader, you will have good communication, organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Knowledge and understanding of running a smooth and effective department, including equipment, is also essential.
As our Clinical Leader, you will:
- Conduct and organise the Clinical/Surgical and Endoscopy team within the theatre, ensuring smooth running of theatre lists, organising booking forms and assisting in theatre sessions.
- Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate service demands of each department, including Endoscopy, General, Orthopaedics and Gynaecology.
- Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety and risk management, quality improvement and ensuring policies and procedures to enhance patient care and service delivery.
- Have extensive knowledge required for dealing with audits and equipment.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of surgical techniques and associated equipment.
- Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assistant training.
