Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Plasterer Multi‑Trader to join a busy social housing maintenance team working across properties in CB10, CB11, CM22, CM23 and CM24. This is a long‑term temporary position carrying out a mixture of day‑to‑day repairs, some planned works and general maintenance within occupied properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing minor patch work through to full board and skim, renewals and installations in occupied properties
- Multi‑trade works including:
- Tiling (splashbacks)
- Painting & decorating
- General domestic repairs
- Working towards a first‑time fix wherever possible
- Planning and managing your own daily workload to meet contract SLAs
- Logging works accurately and completing daily job sheets
- Ensuring all work meets high standards of safety and quality
- Providing a professional, respectful service to tenants
- Reporting any additional or follow‑on works required
- Maintaining van stock, equipment and materials
- Working independently or as part of a team when required
Essential Criteria
- Experience working in occupied residential settings
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and own transport (mileage will be paid)
- Ability to work independently across a dispersed housing patch
Desirable Criteria
- Previous social housing repairs experience
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Plastering or time‑served equivalent
- Experience using a PDA for job sheets
- Understanding of responsive repairs and maintenance environments
- Knowledge of SOR codes would be helpful but not essential
