About the Role
We are opening a new home and seek dedicated, experienced Night Wake Officers to join a supportive and nurturing team. The residential provision is a 24‑hour service requiring shifts, weekends, and bank holidays. The role will be based at Trinity, Birmingham. All our homes are rated Good with Ofsted and we aspire to Outstanding.
We support children with emotional well‑being, health and social needs, tailoring care to meet their individual requirements.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and supervising children, ensuring safety and well‑being.
- Providing personal care to children with complex needs.
- Supporting children with challenging behaviour and complex health conditions.
- Communicating with staff and recording care activities.
- Promoting independence and dignity in daily living.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Performing domestic tasks to support the home.
- Collaborating with colleagues and external professionals.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children with learning disabilities, autism, complex health conditions, and challenging behaviour (or equivalent).
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience using communication aids.
- A compassionate and patient approach, committed to high‑quality care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with co‑workers and a range of professionals.
- Relevant qualifications in childcare are desirable.
