Responsibilities
- Lead strategic direction, quality and long‑term sustainability of ITE across all routes.
- Provide strategic and academic leadership for all ITE provision, driving quality, growth and sustainability through strong partnerships, recruitment, regulatory compliance and an excellent trainee experience aligned to national policy.
- Develop ITE portfolio through effective planning, recruitment strategy and partnership working, strengthening the university’s position within the regional initial teacher education market.
- Build strong relationships with schools and multi‑academy trusts, driving innovation and ensuring an inclusive trainee experience.
- Shape future direction of ITE, enhance impact and ensure the university’s teacher education provision continues to contribute to the regional workforce and wider sector.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Substantial higher education experience.
- Strong commitment to inclusive, research‑informed teacher education.
