Class 1 Driver Weekends

Class 1 Driver – Normanton

We are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 drivers on an on‑going basis to meet the needs of the business at our busy Normanton depot. The role consists of refrigerated multi‑drop deliveries to stores. The role involves cage deliveries of milk and, at some locations, you are required to use a tail‑lift to push and pull products being delivered.

Shifts available

PM starts 12:00‑17:00

The shift pattern is 5 days out of 7, including weekend work. Days off will be scheduled on weekdays (between Monday and Friday).

Immediate starts after successful assessment and induction.

Day pay rates

• Monday – Friday £16.63 (overtime after 47.5 hrs £18.71)
• Saturday £18.71
• Sunday and bank holidays £24.95

Nights pay rates

• Monday – Friday £19.00 (overtime after 47.5 hrs £21.38)
• Saturday £21.38
• Sunday and bank holidays £28.50

30‑minute break deducted per shift only!

Day to day duties will include the following

• Driving within the WTD and EU regs and rules.
• Prepping vehicles for delivery.
• Completing vehicle checks.
• Refueling vehicles.
• Multi‑drop deliveries.
• Manual handling trolleys.
• The driver must ensure that the highest levels of customer service are maintained on the round and orders are fulfilled on time and in full.

As a person you will need the following qualities and experience

• At least 6 months of Class One driving experience required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• UK driving licence with a Cat C+E entitlement.
• Digi & CPC card no more than 6 points for minor offences.
• Immediate start for successful candidates!
