Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Health, Safety and Security Team as a Security / Violence and Aggression Officer.

This vacancy is based in Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the operational management arrangements at the Health Board’s General Hospital sites and associated sites, including day-to-day management of access control, CCTV and Staff ID badge systems.
  • Assist the Health Board Security Adviser and Violence and Aggression Case Manager in their duties.
  • Provide advice and training to staff in personal safety and support staff affected by violence and aggression.

Qualifications and Experience

Level 3 Diploma in Security Management or equivalent experience and knowledge, along with security service experience in healthcare (or a related service) is essential. Experience of the criminal justice process with enforcement agencies, including victim/witness support, and thorough knowledge of security-related standards and procedures is desirable.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
