Alexander Daniels are recruiting a Finance Manager/Senior Accountant to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Telford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive firm offering clear progression opportunities.
The Role
As Finance Manager/Senior Accountant, you will manage your own portfolio of clients and play a key role in reviewing work and supporting junior team members.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a mixed client portfolio (sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies)
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns
- Assisting clients with VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts
- Reviewing work and mentoring junior staff
- Building strong client relationships and liaising with HMRC
About You
- Minimum 4 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of accounts and tax compliance
- Experience managing clients and reviewing work
- Confident communicator with good organisational skills
