Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Advanced (Nurse) Practitioner to join our friendly team working between the Same Day Emergency Care Unit. You must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you will be able to prioritise working with a range of staff and patients from the multidisciplinary wider hospital team.

Join a friendly team to deliver high-quality, end-to-end patient interventions. Work autonomously within the emergency care setting and contribute to your own and colleagues’ development.

Working for our organisation
We operate from three main hospitals – Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal – as well as a number of community healthcare premises.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day‑case and inpatient surgery. Community services are also available across Morecambe Bay.

Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse (RGN)
- Masters degree
- Medical prescriber – None required
- Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., City & Guilds or Professional Trainers Certificate)
- Registered Mentor
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Experience of establishing effective communication
- Evidence of clinical competence and credibility in the speciality and relevant post-registration qualification experience at a senior level in an appropriate area of specialist practice
- Exercise a high degree of autonomy within specialist area
