Are you a Veterinary Surgeon on the lookout for something new? Want to work with an experienced team and really push your own development? We have partnered with a growing Veterinary practice in Cambridgeshire on a newly created MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon vacancy.
The Practice
The practice is set up to handle a wide range of first‑opinion cases and is equipped with a brand‑new X‑ray machine, an endoscopy kit, clear ultrasound, a lab set‑up and HT Vista. There are multiple consult rooms and operating theatres, as well as facilities to manage orthopaedics, complex cardiology cases and PRP therapy. With our own in‑patients service, clients and vets benefit from excellent case continuity and a hospital standard of care.
The team is a close‑knit, casual group that supports one another. The Lead Vet has nearly 20 years of experience and is dedicated to helping other vets grow. We currently have additional Surgeons, four RVNs and non‑clinical staff ensuring smooth practice operations.
Based near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, we connect with clients from Cambridge, Peterborough, Corby, March, St Neots, Chatteris, Sawtry and surrounding areas.
The Job
We offer a competitive salary of up to £100,000 and will negotiate on packages for the right candidate. The expected candidate will work full time, be confident in orthopaedics, and possess a true go‑getter attitude. You will undertake a variety of surgeries, consultations, imaging and lab work, with all general practice duties managed internally. We value a versatile practitioner ready to handle diverse clinical tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of general and specialist veterinary surgeries.
- Provide consultations and treatment plans for first‑opinion cases.
- Utilise advanced diagnostic equipment including X‑ray, ultrasound and endoscopy.
- Manage orthopaedics, complex cardiology and PRP therapy cases.
- Participate in in‑patients care and ensure case continuity.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver high‑standard patient care.
Qualifications
- MRCVS qualification.
- Strong experience in orthopaedics and a willingness to handle a wide variety of clinical cases.
