Job Title and Salary

Rough Sleeper Accommodation Programme (RSAP) Bed & Breakfast Support Worker (G5) – £29,064 – £32,061 per annum.

About The Role

We are looking for a caring and motivated RSAP B&B Support Worker to support single people and families living in temporary accommodation, including hotels and nightly‑rate properties. This frontline role involves working directly with customers during a challenging period in their lives and providing practical support, encouragement and guidance to help people feel safer, build confidence and progress towards longer‑term housing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide face‑to‑face, person‑centred support to customers with a range of needs.
  • Help customers access housing, health, wellbeing and community services.
  • Support people to attend appointments and work towards agreed goals.
  • Contribute to assessments and support plans.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues and partner organisations.
  • Produce and maintain clear, accurate and contemporaneous records in line with organisational standards.

Essential Criteria

  • Experience supporting vulnerable people or working in a people‑focused role.
  • Empathy, professionalism and strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of homelessness and the challenges faced by people living in temporary accommodation.
  • A flexible, non‑judgemental and person‑centred approach.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work at pace across different settings.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work – this role is an Essential Car User.

Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Ability to record case notes.
  • Experience supporting clients and contacting agencies for benefits such as Universal Credit and Housing Benefit.
