The role will liaise with colleagues, inparticular drivers and team managers to assist with the loading and offloadingof carts, conducting security checks whilst ensuring efficiency and securelyprotocols are always followed. You will play a vital part in getting aircraftready for take-off, before passengers even board.

Rate of Pay: £14.76 perhour, plus flat rate overtime

Shift: 5 On 3 Off, rolling roster

Hours: Various start times, you must be able to work all shifts onrotation

Mandatory: UKManual driving licence – less than 6 points ideally

You must be flexible to work shifts as operations run seven days a weekrequirement (including evenings and public holidays), you will be required toextend shifts depending on airside operational requirements.

Please note that as this position is in the aviation industry your offerwould be subject to security clearance – this requires a 5-year employmentreference check. If you are invited to an interview, we would request that youbring a copy of your HMRC employment history.

We are looking for candidates that can commit to this role on along-term basis, as such candidates must have under four references and havethe permanent, unrestricted right to work in the UK.

Profile

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Loading andunloading catering equipment, carts, and supplies to strict timeframes.
  • Preparingtrolleys and orders accurately for outbound flights.
  • Workingairside around aircraft while following aviation safety and security rules.
  • Supportingdrivers and operations teams to meet on-time departures.
  • Carry out primary security checks of theairline equipment in accordance with both CAA and DfT regulations.
  • Carry out vehicle security searches inaccordance with both CAA and DfT regulations.
  • Effectively fillrequisitions and load airline food and catering supplies inside deliverytrucks.
  • Ensure drivers areprovided with all catering components for each flight on time.
  • Assist in thecatering and de-catering of all aircraft as instructed by block plans andallocator.
  • Ensure aircraft arecatered following correct galley plan for that aircraft.
  • Ensure all cateringand de-catering is completed on time and following current SLA’s.
  • Ensure all inboundcatering and equipment is moved from the trucks into the wash and pick and packdepartment.
  • Utilise effectivecommunications to minimise delays and resolve problems.
  • Pack carts/ Production trollies to therequired standard and in accordance with passenger volumes.
  • Ensure productionand off Dock schedules are met.
  • Support otherdepartments and teams when and where required to maintain production/dispatchschedule.
  • Ensure that all products andequipment meet the required standard before leaving the unit and stock is rotated toget maximum shelf life both in the Dispatch and in the unit.

  • Report allaccident/hazards/near misses, in your area in line with Newrest requirements.
  • Ensure youunderstand, comply and abide by any new or amendments to policies, processes orworking practices.

  • Valid UKManual Driving licence (less than 6 points).
  • Physicallyfit, able to Lift and/or push approximately 50lbs and work in diverse temperatures.
  • Able to multi-taskand work under pressure
  • Excellentcommunication, teamwork and customer service skills.
